More than 100 words for "camel"

الجفول /al-jafool/ - a camel that is frightened by everything;

الفاهية /al-fahyh/ - a female camel that is superior to all others in all things;

الغب /al-rb'e/ - a camel that drinks once every three days.

Right to left or left to right?

The words are written from the right to the left. The numbers are written from the left to the right. This can be confusing if you are not a native speaker. Make sure you understand the writing system well from day one, and avoid any future confusion.

More than 10 words for "love"

The most common word for "love" is " حب " /hubb/. It comes from the same root as the word "seed", which means it had the potential to grow into something beautiful.

Gulf dialect

Gulf Arabic is a dialect most commonly spoken in Eastern Arabia. There are 36 million native speakers of Gulf, spread throughout the Arab world.

Hassaniya dialect

Hassaniya Arabic is spoken by 3 million people across the Arab world. It is spoken in Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Western Sahara.

Egyptian dialect

Egyptian Arabic has over 55 million speakers and is most widely spoken in Egypt. This is the form of Arabic you are most likely to have heard in movies and on TV, as the Egyptian media industry has had a huge impact on the Arabic film world.

Levantine dialect

Levantine Arabic has over 21 million speakers and is spoken in the Eastern Mediterranean coastal strip.
